Within the Bloowater Water JPI 2018, UNIVPM, Partner of the Project, designed and
implemented an innovative pilot to validate in demonstrative scale (TRL>5) new
technologies for water supply. The pilot plant has been installed in the Potabilization
Plant of Acquambiente S.r.l. to test advanced solutions for enhancement the removal
and the minimization of cyanobacteria compounds. The configuration provides the
application of the new polymer assisted ultrafiltration (PAF) technologies to optimize
the removal of emerging contaminants from water.  The system is fed in continuous
with the lake water of Castreccioni and will be studied for long term to improve
knowledge and to obtain innovative results in the drinking water treatment sector.
